The sealing wire rope is formed of twisted or twined steel filaments with or without a weaving. The wire rope is used to fix twist security seals and anchor seals. The seal’s reliability depends on choosing the right wire rope for sealing.
When selecting a sealing cable, it is advisable to consider the following characteristics:
- seal apertures diameter;
- steel type (galvanized, copper-coated, stainless steel);
- surface coating of steel filaments;
- wire rope diameter;
- number of filaments;
- tensile strength.
Sealing cable is required wherever the twist, lead, or anchor seals are installed. These safety seals are put on assets with eyelets or on large objects.
